Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a project cost?
It depends on scope, and I quote only after we've talked it through. Small internal tools and integrations usually land in the low four figures; a full B2B portal is a multi-month engagement priced per milestone. I work either on a fixed price per agreed scope or at an hourly rate for open-ended work — you pick which fits. The first call and the estimate cost nothing.
How long does it take?
A REST API or an internal tool typically takes 2–6 weeks. A B2B portal with roles, documents and ERP integration is 2–4 months, delivered in working increments rather than one big launch — you see something usable within the first few weeks and give feedback while it still costs nothing to change.
Do you work with clients outside Ukraine?
Yes — remotely, and that's the default. I'm in Ukraine (UTC+3), which overlaps the full working day with Europe and the morning with North America. Communication in English or Ukrainian, by whatever channel you already use: email, Slack, Teams, Jira.
Can you take over an existing project or legacy code?
Yes, and a good share of my work is exactly that. It starts with a short audit: what the code does, where the risks are, what can be fixed incrementally versus what needs replacing. You get that assessment in writing before committing to development, so the decision is yours and informed.
What happens after launch?
You get the source code, deployment documentation and a walkthrough with whoever will use the system. After that, support is optional: some clients take a monthly retainer for changes and monitoring, others come back only when they need a new feature. Both are fine — the code is yours either way, with no lock-in to me.
Who owns the code, and will you sign an NDA?
You own the code and all the data in full once the work is paid for. I sign an NDA before we discuss anything sensitive — just send yours, or ask and I'll provide one. Case studies on this site are published only with the client's agreement.
